Panic erupted in Shahdara’s Kasaiwada Chappal Market when a gas cylinder on a samosa vendor’s cart caught fire, sending flames up to 10–12 feet high. CCTV footage captured the dramatic scene as people ran for safety and shops shut down. Both the vendor and a young man delivering the cylinder sustained injuries, while the scooter involved was completely gutted. Quick action by alert shopkeepers—removing extra cylinders and using soil, water, and fire sprays—brought the fire under control, averting a major tragedy.
