Delhi AQI News Today | Delhi’s Air Emergency Deepens, Apologies Fly, Action Missing

Delhi woke up to hazardous air quality, with AQI levels crossing 300 across large parts of the national capital and NCR. PM2.5 and PM10 concentrations remained several times above safe limits, making the air equivalent to smoking multiple cigarettes a day. As transport emissions, construction dust and stubble burning continue to choke the city, Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa issued an apology, drawing sharp political reactions. The opposition, including Priyanka Gandhi and AAP MP Sanjay Singh, accused the BJP of deflecting blame instead of delivering solutions, while residents continue to gasp for clean air amid weak enforcement on the ground.
