"Crocodile Tears": Nirmala Sitharaman Hits Out at Opposition on Manipur Debate
Nirmala Sitharaman, the Finance Minister, introduced three key bills in Parliament and sharply criticised the Opposition for being absent during the discussion on the Manipur GST bill. She said the Opposition "shed crocodile tears" over Manipur but failed to show up for important legislative work. Her remarks came just hours after the Prime Minister accused the Opposition of "doing drama instead of delivery."
