The first phase of the Common University Entrance Test, a common gateway for undergraduate admissions in all central universities, began today across 500 centres in India and 10 abroad. Around eight lakh candidates will appear in the first slot. Students now need to pass an entrance test to secure an admission to central universities such as Delhi University. Common University Entrance Test or CUET exams are being conducted for the first time. They start today and will go on till August 10. Some students have expressed their concerns and stress over last-minute announcement of dates and location centres.
