China Begins Biggest Live-Fire Military Drills Around Taiwan
China is kicking off its biggest-ever military exercises in the seas around Taiwan following US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's visit. NDTV's Parmeshwar Bawa explains where these live-fire drills are taking place. This as China's Foreign Minister has called Ms Pelosi's visit to Taiwan a "manic, irresponsible and highly irrational" action by the US, according to state media. Bejing said the exercises are due to take place in busy waterways and will include long-range live ammunition shooting.
