Rahul Bhasin, Managing Partner - India, Baring Private Equity Partners spoke about the amendment to Income Tax Act that now calls for taxation on Vodafone-like deals. He says that while, there should be taxation on transaction, it is 'shocking' to do so 'retrospectively' and 'surreptitiously'.
