Automakers post record March sales; foresee decline on higher excise duty

Automobile companies have posted record sales for the month of March after customers advanced their purchases. With a hike in excise duties in the budget, companies could announce a hike in prices soon. But going forward, Auto companies are cautious on the impact that higher excise duty could have and analysts are foreseeing a decline in demand in the months ahead.
