Macquarie's View On Indian Economy After Demonetisation

Tanvee Gupta Jain, India economist at Macquarie, believes demonetisation move will help improve transparency, increase tax compliance and encourage a move towards digital economy in the medium term. The increase in tax buoyancy will help provide more resources in the hands of the government to undertake development spending, she adds.
