Jindal Steel eyes West Bengal

Exactly one month after Ratan Tata announced his exit from West Bengal, Sajjan Jindal will be announcing his arrival in the state on Sunday. Jindal will bring with him a 10 million tonne steel project at Shalboni, about 150 km from Kolkata. But given the global economic meltdown and the fall in steel prices worldwide, the Jindals have put off production by a year.
