Infosys' big acquisition of UK-based SAP consulting company, Axon Group, is heading for a bidding war, as Delhi-based HCL Technologies is planning to counterbid for British firm Axon. Sources suggest HCL Tech has appointed Merrill as advisor and StanChart as financiers to the counterbid. At the moment the bankers representing HCL Tech are in London right now.
