gold prices have hit a six month high, so boost the price of yellow metal. But what are the reasons behind it? Sakshi Bajaj is now joining us live on the phone line. So Sakshi of course this is something that we expect during the festive season. But what are the other reasons behind this record high As far as the gold prices are concerned, that's right. We are primarily a softer dollar and expectations of a pause in the Federal Reserve's monetary tightening have helped the bullion above the key $2000 an ounce level and therefore gold prices hitting a fresh six month high. Remember, stock gold prices were also up globally and of course gold will trade higher as per experts remember, lower interest rates reduce the opportunity cost of holding non interest bearing assets, often boosting gold prices. And so therefore, we also saw remember the dollar index near a three month low and so therefore these prices are reflecting the fact that a weaker dollar and of course as you mentioned back home also in India, we've seen due to the festive season, we've seen marginally higher rates in gold and of course the precious metal there in higher demand. But primarily the reason for global gold prices to hit a fresh six month high have been a softer dollar and expectations of a pause from the Fed's monetary policy.
