David Buik, market commentator with Panmure Gordon, tells why he is not very optimistic about the ongoing US earnings season. Mr Buik believes that with a lower US home sales number, tapering of quantitative easing is less of a threat to the market now. He also shares his views on whether we will be looking at the indices going higher by the end of the year than they are at the moment if corporate earnings continue to support sentiment.
