Finance minister Pranab Mukherjee set an ambitious target of Rs. 40,000 crore for receipts through disinvestment for the fiscal year ending March 2012. Disinvestment secretary Mohammad Haleem Khan told NDTV Profit that the government is planning to review disinvestment targets around November 2011. In all probability, the revision would be downwards.
