A Bolivian Air Force Hercules aircraft carrying newly printed currency crashed near La Paz, killing at least 15 people and injuring several others. The plane veered off the runway in El Alto, ploughed into vehicles on a highway, and burst into flames, leaving debris and bodies scattered across the road. As banknotes spilled across the crash site, crowds rushed to collect cash, hampering rescue efforts. Over 500 soldiers and 100 police personnel were deployed to control the situation, while authorities launched an investigation into the cause of the crash.
