Instead, both leaders travelled to Mysuru to receive Rahul Gandhi, triggering sharp criticism from the opposition. The Bharatiya Janata Party has accused the Congress-led government of prioritising party loyalty over Karnataka’s global and economic interests, arguing that hosting the leader of Europe’s largest economy should have taken precedence.
