BJP Slams Congress After Karnataka CM, DY CM Skip German Chancellor’s Bengaluru Visit

A political storm has erupted in Karnataka after Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar were absent from Bengaluru during the visit of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Instead, both leaders travelled to Mysuru to receive Rahul Gandhi, triggering sharp criticism from the opposition. The Bharatiya Janata Party has accused the Congress-led government of prioritising party loyalty over Karnataka’s global and economic interests, arguing that hosting the leader of Europe’s largest economy should have taken precedence.
