Bihar Floods | Floodwaters From Ganga River Enter Nakta Diyara Area In Patna
Several major rivers in Bihar are in spate following flash floods in Nepal on Sept 04. Floodwaters from the Ganga entered the Nakta Diyara area of Patna's Digha assembly constituency. “I run a hotel and a wood shop...the water level is rising by two or three feet a day. It looks like it will keep rising, which is causing major difficulties...fewer customers are coming to the shop...regarding flood management, they say things are running smoothly, but the water has risen to an extreme level...wood sales are down, and the hotel business is slow…,” said Local.
