Voting is currently underway in Bangladesh under the turbulent interim government led by Muhammad Yunus. This marks the first election in over 30 years without Khaleda Zia or Sheikh Hasina in the race. While Hasina is in India following her ouster in 2024, Zia passed away in December 2025, and her son Tarique Rahman now leads the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
