A Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe has revealed how an alleged donation theft at the Ayodhya Ram Temple grew from the pilfering of a few ₹500 notes into an estimated ₹2–3 crore embezzlement. According to investigators, six donation-counting employees gradually exploited CCTV blind spots and weak security protocols, allegedly progressing from hiding individual notes in their clothing to stealing bundles of cash.
