Narendra Modi arrived on stage to kick off his Uttar Pradesh campaign in Kanpur today just as veteran Kalyan Singh had finished doing some math in his speech. As the Gujarat Chief Minister walked up, the crowd chanted, "sher aya, sher aya (the tiger has arrived)." Mr Modi opened his speech by saying that he "senses affection in every corner of the country" and added that along with that affection, people of the country are also showing their "anger towards the Congress."
