Mamata Banerjee Asks PM To Withdraw Citizenship Law, Iran Says It Shot Down Ukrainian Plane By Mistake

West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kolkata on Saturday and asked him during their discussions to withdraw the recently amended citizenship law even as protests rocked the city. Iran says they shot down Ukrainian plane by mistake killing all 176 aboard, adding that air defences were fired in error while on high alert in the tense aftermath of Iranian missile strikes on US targets in Iraq.
