Cyclonic storm "Phailin", classified as "very severe" by the weather department, is expected to hit Andhra Pradesh on Saturday.
Heavy rainfall lashed parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh on Friday. Cyclone Phailin is expected to hit the state tomorrow. Currently winds are touching a high speed of 220 km per hour.

Lakhs of government employees in Andhra Pradesh from other departments who have been on strike have also said that they will help with any relief and rehabilitation work by temporarily returning to work if the cyclone hits.
