Kaziah Liz Mejo is the new Miss Universe India 2026. The 19-year-old from Kerala won the national title at the pageant finale in Jaipur on Sunday, beating 52 other contestants. She will now represent India at the 75th Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico in November.
Vaishnavi Gannesh from Tamil Nadu was named the first runner-up, while Gujarat's Anushri Satavlekar finished as the second runner-up and won the Miss International India 2026 title.

All About Kaziah Liz Mejo
Kaziah Liz Mejo is a law student and model from Mavelikkara, Kerala. While she is now making headlines for winning the national Miss Universe India crown, this is not her first pageant title.
As per a report by The Indian Express, she won Miss Teen Diva 2024 when she was 17. She then represented India at Miss Teen International 2025 and finished as the first runner-up. Earlier this year, she won Miss Universe Kerala 2026 and became the youngest state titleholder.
Her latest win has also given her another distinction. Kaziah Liz Mejo is the first Keralite to win the Miss Universe India title.
She Grew Up In Abu Dhabi
Born in 2007, Kaziah Liz Mejo spent her childhood in Abu Dhabi, UAE. She studied at Emirates National School, St Joseph's School and Abu Dhabi Indian School.
She is currently pursuing law while also working as a model. But pageants are not her only interest.
According to the Miss Teen Diva's official website, Kaziah Liz Mejo has trained in classical dance for 12 years. She also sings and can play the drums and violin. She has also explored public speaking and acting.
Kaziah Liz Mejo made her acting debut with the Malayalam film Shylock.
Her Pageant Journey
Kaziah Liz Mejo's latest victory came at a finale judged by some of the biggest names in the Indian pageant world. Former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen led the jury. Former Miss Universe India winners Urvashi Rautela and Celina Jaitley were also part of the panel.
Last year, Manika Vishwakarma won the Miss Universe India title and represented India at the international pageant. This year, she returned to the national finale to crown the new winners.
Kaziah Liz Mejo now has her biggest pageant assignment ahead. She will travel to Puerto Rico in November to represent India at the 75th Miss Universe pageant.
