Shaan and his wife Radhika Mukherjee have made a big investment in Mumbai's luxury property market. The couple bought a massive 6300 square foot home at the Palmera complex in Bandra West for Rs 48 Crore.
The new residence has been created by joining three separate apartments one and a half floors on the 18th level of the building. The deal was handled by Propbay India LLP and was officially registered on August 20.
The property purchase is also special for Shaan, for his late musician father Manas Mukherjee also lived in Bandra. The new home keeps the family's long connection with the area alive.
A source close to Shaan told Mirror, “It is a luxury property on Bandra's Turner Road. The three units have been combined across approximately one-and-a-half floors.”
Shaan's new home in Palmera is located at 8 Turner Road near St Martin's Road in Bandra West. The project was developed by Pantheion Real Estate and has been built on the site of a bungalow that once belonged to veteran actress Mala Sinha.
The 22-floor building also has a swimming pool and a bar on its 23rd floor. According to sources, the project is still waiting for its Occupancy Certificate (OC), which is required before the building can be officially occupied.
Shaan has also returned to work with Saif Ali Khan after nearly two decades. The singer joined Saif for the song Mera Hero Hai Woh from the upcoming film Haiwaan.
Speaking about the reunion, Shaan told ANI, “I've had a special connection with Saif over the years. Lately on social media, there's also a thing that one of the best matches is Shaan's voice on Saif's. So, it finally happened after 2007. That is something that I feel very excited about, and the song is being loved so much, so it's nice. I feel very indebted to Pritam-da that he finally said, 'No, let's get Shaan to sing for him'.”
Other than Saif Ali Khan, Haiwaan, directed by Priyadarshan, also stars Akshay Kumar.
