Parineeti Chopra is a powerhouse of talent and there is no denying this. The actress is loved not just for her acting skills but also for her fine singing abilities. The actress, who is trained in Hindustani classical music, has sung for few of her films such as Meri Pyaari Bindu, Kesari and The Girl on the Train. Now as one of her most-loved films, Hasee Toh Phasee, is celebrating eight years since its release, Parineeti Chopra decided to mark the occasion by crooning a few lines from Zehnaseeb, one of the songs of the movie. The actress -- who spent the day dubbing for one of her projects -- stole a few minutes to deliver a soulful rendition of the romantic track.
In the video, a beautiful Parineeti Chopra dressed in casual clothes is singing the song without any background music. Belting out the song like a professional musician, the actress can be seen smiling to herself and for the camera.
In the caption, Parineeti Chopra wrote, “Was dubbing at the studio all day. Took a break. Decided to record this impromptu... Best way to rejuvenate? Happy 8 years HTP!” tagging co-star Sidharth Malhotra, producer Karan Johar and director Vinil Mathew.
Parineeti Chopra's wonderful rendition had fans rushing to the video asking for an encore. The actress shared the same video on Instagram Stories with the note, “Finally cracked: how to take a break during long dubbing days.”
Hasee Toh Phasee is a love story between Meeta (Parineeti Chopra), an eccentric scientist and Nikhil (Sidharth Malhotra), a struggling businessman. The film was a success at the box office and earned the lead pair rave reviews.
Parineeti Chopra often treats fans to videos of her singing. A few months ago, while on a family vacation to the Maldives, the actress shared a video of her singing with her brother Shivang Chopra. In the clip, the siblings are singing the title track of Kalank. In the caption, she wrote, “We've been singing together since we were 8... went to music school together... now we can predict each other's moves while singing!”
Reacting to the video, singer-composer Amaal Mallik wrote, “Parineeti, words won't be enough to describe this version of yours. What pristine singing, what control and what range.”
Parineeti Chopra was last seen in the Saina Nehwal biopic, Saina. She will be next seen in a bunch of interesting films such as Uunchai and Animal. The actress is currently appearing as a judge on the reality show, Hunarbaaz: Desh Ki Shaan with Mithun Chakraborty and Karan Johar.
