Govinda and Sunita Ahuja's troubled married life has repeatedly hit the headlines in the last few weeks. Now, the actor's niece, Arti Singh, has opened up about the matter and shared that she will speak to “mami” Sunita.
During a paparazzi interaction, Arti refused to offer any opinion. “Maine jaisa kaha pehle bhi, main apne se badon ke beech mein nahi bolti (as I said earlier, I never speak in matters when it comes to my elders),” Arti stated.
She continued, “Ye unka matter hai, jo log footage lena chahte hain wo achha wala le rahe hain. Main unmein se nahi hoon kyunki main family member hoon (this is their matter. Those who want footage can take that very well. But I am not one of them because I am their family member)."
Arti's response came on the heels of continued public discussion around Govinda and Sunita's marital status. While several people jumped to offer their opinions, Arti clarified she had no intention of adding another public statement to the conversation.
According to Bollywood Dazzle report, when Arti was asked how she personally felt about everything, she said that those emotions were meant for her family and not for public consumption.
“Meri jo feeling hai na, main raat ko Krushna ko call karke bataungi. Main Tina se baat karungi, main Yash se baat karungi, main Sunita mami se baat karungi, main apni mummy se baat karungi (the feelings I have, I'll tell them to Krushna on call tonight. I'll talk to Tina, Yash, and Sunita mami. I'll also talk to my mother)," she shared.
Sunita had filed a divorce petition earlier but withdrew it on August 19. Later, Govinda's manager confirmed that the petition had been withdrawn.
Sunita had also made public allegations involving Govinda and his Roopa co-star Komal Rani Swarnkar. Sunita also alleged that Govinda and Komal were planning to marry. The veteran actor, though, denied all such claims and rejected the manner in which Sunita spoke about him publicly.
