UP Board Results 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has extended the deadline for the evaluation of Class 10 and Class 12 board examination answer sheets for 2026. According to an official notice, the evaluation process will now continue till April 4.
Earlier, the board had scheduled the completion of the answer sheet evaluation by April 1. However, the process was delayed due to multiple public holidays during the evaluation period, including Eid al-Fitr and Ram Navami, which led to a temporary suspension of evaluation work.
According to the board, several district-level officials, including District Inspectors of Schools and deputy controllers at evaluation centres, informed authorities that the process could not be completed within the stipulated timeline. They subsequently requested an extension to ensure proper and complete assessment of answer scripts.
The evaluation of UP Board Class 10 and 12 answer sheets began on March 18 and was initially slated to conclude by April 1. In view of the disruption caused by the holidays, the board has now revised the schedule.
In its directive, the UPMSP has instructed all evaluation centres to ensure that the checking of answer sheets is completed in a fair and transparent manner within the extended deadline. It has also directed that sealed award sheets be submitted to the respective regional offices by April 5.
The extension is expected to slightly impact the timeline for the declaration of UP Board Results 2026, which are usually announced shortly after the evaluation process concludes.
The board conducted the examinations from February 18 to March 12, with around 52 lakh students appearing this year.
UPMSP Result 2026: Expected Date
Based on past trends and media reports, the UP Board Class 10 and Class 12 results are expected to be declared between April 15 and April 26. The board will also release the list of toppers along with the results.

Passing Marks
To pass the UP Board examinations, students must secure at least 33 per cent marks in each subject. It is mandatory to pass both the theory and practical components separately. In certain cases, students falling short in one subject may be awarded grace marks.
What Happens If Students Fail
Students who fail to clear the examination will have the option to appear for compartment exams. The application process will begin after the results are announced, allowing students to avoid losing an academic year.
