OJEE 2017: Odisha Government Reduces Counseling Fee
Bhubaneshwar: The State Government has slashed the counselling fee for students who appeared in Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE). As per the revised structure, the general candidates will now have to pay Rs 10,000 and SC, ST and differently- abled students to pay Rs 5,000 instead of Rs 25,000 to register for the counselling process in B Tech courses. An earlier notification issued had, however, hiked the counselling from Rs 5000 for all category candidates to Rs 25,000.

The OJEE has decided to cut down the fees for general candidates, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and physically disabled candidates, OJEE Chairman Tushar Nath said.

Odisha Private Engineering Colleges' Association (OPECA) had requested the OJEE committee to reduce the fee structure as it would hurt economically weaker students.
