Yamaha has rolled out its first electric scooter in India, the EC-06, priced at Rs 1.68 lakh (ex-showroom). This marks the brand's entry into the EV two-wheeler space, where it will compete against established players like the River Indie, Ather Rizta Z, Ola S1 Pro+ Gen 3, TVS iQube ST, and Suzuki e-Access, setting the stage for a fierce market battle. Yamaha EC-06 Vs Rivals: Price
The Yamaha EC-06 has been launched in India at Rs 1.68 lakh (ex-showroom), making it about Rs 22,000 more expensive than the River Indie, which is priced at Rs 1.46 lakh (ex-showroom). Despite sharing the same foundation, Yamaha's EV enters the market with a clear premium positioning over its River counterpart.

Meanwhile, the Ather Rizta Z and the Ola S1 Pro+ Gen 3 are priced at Rs 1.30 lakh and 1.56 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
The two most popular electric scooters in the Indian market- the TVS iQube ST and the Suzuki e-Access are tagged at Rs 1.63 lakh and Rs 1.88 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).

The Yamaha EC-06 and the River Indie electric scooters are powered by a 4 kWh battery pack that is capable of delivering a peak power of up to 6.7 kW and 26 Nm of max torque.
River Indie
The Ather Rizta Z is powered by a 3.7 kWh battery pack that propels it to deliver a peak power and torque output of 4.3 kW and 22 Nm, respectively. It has three battery options- 2.7 kWh, 2.9 kWh, and a 3.7 kWh battery pack.
The Ola S1 Pro+ gets a 4 kWh and a 5.2 kWh battery pack option that gives it a peak power of 13 kW.
