- Triumph may raise prices of its 400 range in India from June 1, 2026
- Price hike expected between Rs 5,000 and Rs 10,000 per motorcycle
- Earlier price cuts followed engine update to 350cc for lower 18% GST
Triumph Motorcycles could soon increase the prices of its popular 400 range in India. Models like the Triumph Speed T4, Triumph Speed 400, Triumph Scrambler 400 X, Triumph Scrambler 400 XC, and Triumph Thruxton 400 are expected to get costlier from June 1, 2026. While Triumph has not officially confirmed the hike yet, a Mumbai-based dealership recently hinted at the upcoming revision through social media activity. The expected price increase could range between Rs 5,000 and Rs 10,000, depending on the motorcycle.
Triumph 400 Range Could Get Costlier Soon
Earlier this year, Triumph updated its 400 range with new 350cc engines to benefit from the lower 18 percent GST slab. This move helped Triumph reduce the prices of several bikes in the lineup. The Triumph Scrambler 400 and Triumph Thruxton 400, for example, became cheaper by nearly Rs 10,000 to Rs 11,000.
Now, reports suggest those lower prices may not continue for long. If the new hike comes into effect, the Triumph Speed T4, Triumph Scrambler 400, and Triumph Thruxton 400 could return close to their earlier pricing levels.

Currently, the Triumph Speed T4 is the most affordable motorcycle in the lineup with an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.95 lakh. Interestingly, the Triumph Speed T4 did not receive a price cut when Triumph shifted to the smaller 350cc engine platform.
Triumph's New 350cc Engine Details
The updated Triumph Speed T4 and Triumph Scrambler 400 range now use a revised 349cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Triumph reduced the stroke length while keeping the bore unchanged to qualify for lower taxation. Because of this change, performance figures have slightly reduced across the range.
The Triumph Speed T4 now produces 29 hp and 31 Nm, while the Triumph Speed 400 and Triumph Scrambler 400 X deliver 37 hp and 32 Nm. The Triumph Thruxton 400 and Triumph Scrambler 400 XC continue to offer strong performance with 40 hp on tap.

As of now, Triumph Motorcycles India has not released an official statement regarding the expected price hike. However, buyers planning to purchase the Triumph Speed T4, Triumph Scrambler 400, or Triumph Thruxton 400 may want to check with dealerships before June 1 to avoid possible price increases.
