Tesla Model Y will be the first model of the brand to be launched in India. The brand will have the RWD (rear-wheel drive) and long-range RWD variants of the car on sale in India. The RWD variant will come at a starting price of Rs 59.89 lakh, while the long-range version of the car will have a price tag of Rs 67.89 lakh.
This brings the on-road price of the RWD version to Rs 61.07 lakh. Meanwhile, the long-range version will come at 69.15 lakh on-road. This includes "Administration and Service Fee" of Rs 50,000, which includes 18 per cent GST, as per the official website of the brand.
With this, the brand is offering various customisation options and add-ons, which can lead to changes in on-road prices. For instance, to get FSD (full-self driving) as an add-on, the consumers will have to shell out Rs 6 lakh extra.

The Model Y has a starting price of $44,990 (around Rs 38.63 lakh) in the U.S., 263,500 yuan (around Rs 31.57 lakh) in China, and 45,970 euros (around Rs 46.09 lakh) in Germany. As a result, the Indian variant is among the priciest, primarily because of import taxes and logistics expenses.
The Tesla Model Y rear wheel drive variant gets option of both 60 kWh and a larger 75 kWh battery pack in the Indian market. The RWD variant features a single electric motor, producing around 295 hp. Also, the 60 kWh battery claims to deliver a WLTP range of 500 km on a single charge, while the long range variant claims 622 km.
The Tesla Model Y in India will be offered with 7 exterior colour options and 2 interior trims. Along with this, the car will come equipped with a 15.4-inch infotainment display (front), 8-inch rear screen, power-adjustable front seats and steering column, dual-zone automatic climate control, 19-inch crossflow wheels, fixed glass roof, and power rear liftgate.
