Tesla has inaugurated its first in-mall charging station at Nexus Seawoods mall in Navi Mumbai. The new facility adds eight charging points for Tesla owners, including four V4 Superchargers and four Destination Chargers, marking the brand's latest step in expanding its fast-charging footprint across the country.

Located in the B1 parking area of Nexus Seawoods, the site features four V4 Superchargers capable of delivering peak DC fast-charging speeds of up to 250 kW. Alongside these, four AC Destination Chargers with 11 kW output have also been installed, giving customers multiple charging options depending on their needs and dwell time.

Tesla said the new location is part of its broader strategy to expand charging access at places where customers naturally spend time, such as shopping malls, highway stops and food courts. The move follows the successful rollout of charging stations in Gurugram, Delhi and Mumbai.

According to the company, the V4 Superchargers can add up to 275 km of range to the Tesla Model Y in just 15 minutes. Tesla highlighted that this is enough for a comfortable round trip between Navi Mumbai and Pune, underlining the convenience of rapid top-ups during daily commutes or short road trips.

The company also emphasized its seamless charging ecosystem, which is fully integrated into the Tesla app. Through the app, owners can locate the charging site, check real-time stall availability, precondition the battery for optimal charging performance, monitor progress remotely, receive charging completion alerts and complete payments within the same interface.

With the Navi Mumbai site going live, Tesla's India charging network now spans four stations with a total of 20 Superchargers and 14 Destination Chargers. Its current network includes stations at DLF Horizon Center in Gurugram, Worldmark 3 in Aerocity, One BKC in Mumbai, Tesla Center Gurugram, and now Nexus Seawoods Mall in Navi Mumbai.
Alongside the charging station, Tesla has also set up a pop-up store in the main atrium of Nexus Seawoods. The experiential space allows visitors to explore Tesla vehicles through guided walkarounds, immersive displays and test drive opportunities. Customers can also get hands-on exposure to the company's EV technology, safety systems, performance credentials and design philosophy.
