Tata Motors has expanded its electric commercial vehicle lineup in India with the launch of the new Intra EV Pickup, priced from Rs 11.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Based on the trusted Intra platform but built around a dedicated EV architecture, the new pickup is aimed at cargo operators looking for lower running costs, higher payload capability and better uptime across urban and intercity applications.
Tata Intra EV: Payload, Motor And Battery
The Tata Intra EV Pickup has been designed around productivity-focused usage. It offers a 1,750 kg payload capacity and a load body length of up to 10 ft 2 in, making it suitable for sectors such as FMCG, e-commerce, LPG, dairy, cold-chain logistics and waste management.
Power comes from a 72 kW electric motor producing 230 Nm of peak torque, while 23 percent gradeability should help it handle inclines even under load. The pickup uses a 28.2 kWh IP67-rated battery pack, delivering a certified range of 211 km on a single charge.

Fast charging support via CCS2 allows 10 to 80 percent charging in around 55 minutes, helping reduce downtime during daily operations.
Tata Intra EV: Cabin And Features
The Tata Intra EV pickup gets a walk-through cabin layout, car-like ergonomics, and Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) to reduce driver fatigue over long working hours. Tata says the quieter EV drivetrain further improves comfort inside the cabin.
Safety features of the Intra EV include a dedicated electronic braking system along with three-level regenerative braking, which also aids range recovery during deceleration.
Tata has also equipped the Intra EV with its Fleet Edge connected vehicle platform, offering live tracking, vehicle health diagnostics and predictive maintenance alerts, especially useful for fleet owners and business operators.

Ownership support includes access to 25,000+ charging points, over 200 dedicated EV service centres, financing support through banks and NBFCs, and a 6-year / 2 lakh km high-voltage battery warranty.
