Rolls-Royce has introduced a remarkable new interpretation of its flagship Phantom limousine, known as the Phantom Arabesque. Commissioned for a client in the Middle East, this one-off creation reflects the brand's dedication to bespoke craftsmanship while drawing inspiration from the region's architectural and artistic traditions.
The most distinctive feature of this special Phantom is its bonnet. For the first time in Rolls-Royce's history, the hood has been laser-engraved directly into the aluminium surface. The intricate geometric pattern is inspired by Mashrabiya arabesque motifs, a hallmark of Islamic art and a familiar element in Middle Eastern architecture. Unlike decals or painted designs, the engraving becomes part of the metal itself, creating a permanent texture that interacts with light in subtle yet striking ways. This approach elevates the bonnet into a canvas of cultural expression, merging centuries-old artistry with modern engineering precision.
The exterior is finished in a bespoke combination of Diamond Black and Silver, giving the car a commanding yet refined presence. Signature Rolls-Royce details such as the illuminated Pantheon Grille, the Spirit of Ecstasy figurine, and 22-inch part-polished alloy wheels further enhance its exclusivity.

Inside, the theme continues with a full-width Gallery marquetry artwork crafted from Blackwood and Black Bolivar wood, echoing the same geometric motifs found on the bonnet. The cabin is upholstered in Selby Grey and Black leather, with embroidered Mashrabiya patterns on the headrests. Starlight Doors and illuminated treadplates carry elements of the exterior design into the interior, ensuring a seamless connection between outside and inside.
Beneath its bespoke detailing, the Phantom Arabesque remains true to the mechanical foundation of the Phantom Extended introduced with the Series II update. Power comes from Rolls-Royce's familiar 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine, delivering 563 hp and 900 Nm of torque. This effortless performance is more than capable of moving the nearly three-ton limousine with ease. In fact, the car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in around five seconds.
The Phantom Arabesque has already been delivered to its owner in the Middle East, standing as one of the most intricate bespoke Phantoms ever built.
