The Renault Duster is set for its official launch in India tomorrow, marking the return of one of the country's most popular mid-size SUV nameplates. Positioned as a direct rival to the Hyundai Creta, the Duster brings a completely revamped design, a tech-heavy cabin, and multiple powertrain options, including turbo-petrol and hybrid variants. Pre-bookings are already underway ahead of its official launch and price announcement.

2026 Renault Duster: Design & Dimensions
The Renault Duster retains the rugged stance of the global third-generation model but introduces several styling elements tailored for the Indian market. Up front, the SUV features eyebrow-style LED daytime running lights that also function as turn indicators, giving it a distinctive light signature. The grille has been redesigned and prominently carries the Duster lettering, while the bumper gets silver accents that echo the styling of the original first-generation model. Adding further character to the front profile are pixel-style fog lamps, enhancing its modern and robust appeal.

Inside the cabin, Renault has focused on delivering a more premium and tech-oriented experience. The SUV features a new three-spoke steering wheel with Piano Black accents and a modern dual-screen dashboard layout. Ambient lighting enhances the cabin atmosphere, while faux carbon-fibre inserts add a sporty touch. Practical elements such as Type-C charging ports, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold function, and a panoramic sunroof further improve everyday usability and comfort.

The Renault Duster is equipped with a comprehensive list of features aimed at enhancing convenience and safety. It gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, paired with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster running Google OS. Other highlights include dual-zone climate control, six-way powered and ventilated front seats, a wireless charger, and a powered tailgate.

The SUV also offers a dual-tone interior, adjustable front armrest, 60:40 split rear seats, an Arkamys audio system, and a 360-degree camera. Safety equipment includes six airbags and Level 2 ADAS.

2026 Renault Duster: Powertrain
Renault will offer the Duster with multiple powertrain options. At the top of the range is a 1.8-litre four-cylinder direct-injection petrol engine paired with two electric motors, forming the E-Tech 160 hybrid setup that produces 160 bhp and 172 Nm of torque. The lineup also includes a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine (Turbo TCe 160) delivering 160 bhp and 280 Nm, available with both a six-speed manual and a dual-clutch automatic transmission. The entry-level option is a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 100 bhp and 160 Nm, paired exclusively with a six-speed manual gearbox.
2026 Renault Duster: Bookings
Pre-bookings for the new Renault Duster are currently open with a token amount of Rs 21,000. Deliveries for the turbo-petrol variants are likely to begin around the same time, while the hybrid versions are scheduled to arrive later in the year, closer to the Diwali festive season.
