The Indian cricket team won its ninth Asia Cup title on 28th September 2025, defeating Pakistan. Defeating India by 5 wickets, Abhishek Sharma emerged as the top scorer with 314 runs in seven innings, clinching the Player of the Tournament title. For his outstanding performance throughout the tournament, the Indian cricketer was also rewarded with the Haval H9.
Haval is a Chinese automaker (sub-brand of Great Wall Motor Company), and the Haval H9 is one of the most premium and feature-loaded full-size seven-seater SUVs. The SUV is based on a ladder-on-frame chassis and looks sinister with circular LED headlights, DRLs, and a large grille consisting of horizontal slats.
Like the exterior, the interior of the Haval H9 also carries the luxurious appeal with leatherette upholstery, a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a large digital instrument gauge cluster, and more. The safety suite of the seven-seater SUV includes features like multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, hill ascent and descent control, parking sensors, a rear camera, an electronic parking brake, and auto-hold. Also, the SUV gets multiple drive modes, namely Auto, Eco, Sport, Sand, Snow, Mud, and 4L modes for a hassle-free drive.
Under the hood, the Haval H9 gets a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo petrol engine that works in conjunction with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The power mill is capable of pushing out a peak power and torque output of which makes 224 bhp and 385 Nm, respectively.
In the Chinese market, the Haval H9 is available at a price tag of 30,000 dollars, which converts to approximately Rs 26 lakh.
