Nissan Motor India has launched the Gravite MPV to the domestic market, positioning it as a practical and affordable option for families. The model arrives with an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 5.65 lakh, applicable to the first 5,000 bookings under a special launch program. To make ownership more attractive, Nissan is offering five years of zero service cost along with benefits under its loyalty program. Buyers can also access finance schemes through Nissan Finance, with interest rates starting at 5.55 percent.
Under the hood, the Gravite is powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 71 hp and 96 Nm of torque. This unit, shared with the Renault Triber, is paired with either a five-speed manual gearbox or an AMT. Fuel efficiency is rated at 19.6 km/l with the AMT and 19.3 km/l with the manual, making it a frugal choice for everyday commuting.

At the launch, Nissan also showcased the Gravite CNG, highlighting its distinctive dual-cylinder configuration. Unlike conventional horizontal twin-tank layouts, the Gravite's cylinders are stacked vertically, one above the other. This design is intended to free up more usable boot width and floor space, allowing owners to retain partial access for luggage. For urban drivers who prioritize extended range but still need everyday practicality, this arrangement offers a balance between efficiency and usability.

From a practical standpoint, the stacked cylinders can make loading and unloading larger items more cumbersome. While the boot retains some space, rearranging luggage may be less convenient compared to a single-tank setup or horizontally stacked CNG cylinders. This trade-off reflects Nissan's attempt to balance efficiency with usability, offering buyers a unique alternative in the growing CNG segment.
