Kia is preparing to roll out the new-generation version of its popular mid-size SUV, the Seltos, in India. The model has been undergoing extensive testing and is scheduled to make its official debut on December 10, 2025. Ahead of the launch, Kia has released a teaser, offering a glimpse of the refreshed design and hinting at what buyers can expect from the updated SUV.

According to Kia's latest teaser, the upcoming Seltos will draw heavily from the design language seen on global models. The video showcases vertically and horizontally stacked LED lighting elements, including striking C-shaped DRLs integrated with the headlamps. A redesigned grille lends the SUV a broader, more commanding presence, while an LED welcome animation for the DRLs and headlights adds a premium touch. The Kia badge is prominently positioned above the grille, and the teaser concludes with a sweeping shot of the panoramic sunroof, hinting at the SUV's upscale appeal.

The interior details of the new-gen Kia Seltos have not been revealed yet. The brand is expected to bring a reworked interior with softer materials and a larger touchscreen, and revised seats for added comfort.

Under the hood, Kia is expected to retain its proven lineup of engines for the new-gen Seltos, including the familiar 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel options. Adding to the mix, earlier test sightings suggest the possibility of a strong-hybrid system, which could significantly boost efficiency and broaden appeal. Transmission choices are likely to continue with manual, iMT, and automatic gearboxes, though refinements are anticipated to deliver smoother shifts and improved drivability across variants.
