Hyundai is preparing to introduce the next-generation Verna, one of its most sought-after sedans in India. Slated for an early 2026 launch, the updated model has already been spotted testing on Indian roads. Though heavily camouflaged, the test mule offers a glimpse into its refreshed design. Recent spy shots also reveal key interior elements, hinting at what buyers can expect from the upcoming Verna.

The fourth-generation Hyundai Verna, launched in 2023 with a bold exterior overhaul, is now set to receive a mild facelift. While the core design remains largely unchanged, subtle updates are expected at the front and rear-likely involving refreshed lighting elements, grille tweaks, and revised bumpers. The side profile appears untouched, and spy shots confirm that the alloy wheels remain the same as the current model. At the rear, signature features like the connected LED tail lamps and boot-lid-mounted spoiler are likely to be retained.

The upcoming update seems to focus more on enhancing the cabin experience. Spy images reveal a new curved dual-screen setup, replacing the existing flat unit. This sleeker, sharper display resembles the one seen in the new Hyundai Venue and could feature dual 12.3-inch screens, an upgrade over the current Verna's 10.25-inch units. Expect a refreshed user interface and added functionalities.

Also spotted is a new D-cut steering wheel, again inspired by the Venue. With a clean, modern layout, it adds to the Verna's premium feel. The steering unit is expected to offer tilt and telescopic adjustment, along with integrated audio and Bluetooth controls for added convenience.

The upcoming Hyundai Verna facelift is likely to retain its existing engine lineup. It will continue to offer the 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine, which produces 113.3 hp and 143.8 Nm of torque, available with either a 6-speed manual or an IVT automatic gearbox. For those seeking more performance, the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine remains an option, delivering 157.8 hp and 253 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT transmission.
