Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition Launched In India At Rs 58.90 Lakh

Mini India has launched the new Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition in the country at a starting price of Rs 58.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The limited-run hot hatch has been inspired by the iconic Mini GP, and only 30 units of the Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition will be available for Indian buyers. Pre-bookings for the special edition model had already started earlier this month. Here is what the Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition has to offer.

Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition: Exterior & Design

The Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition adds cosmetic upgrades over the standard Cooper S for a sportier, more aggressive look. It features an exclusive Legend Grey shade with Chilli Red accents on the roof and ORVM caps. GP-inspired bonnet stripes and side graphics further emphasize its sporty character.

At the front, the special edition hatchback gets a John Cooper Works (JCW)-inspired bumper and grille, along with red winglets and a red tow strap. The side profile features 'GP Inspired' branding and a special '1 of 30' badge on the C-pillar, highlighting its exclusivity. The Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition also gets sporty side skirts, a roof-mounted spoiler, rear winglets, and a rear diffuser for a more track-focused appearance.

The hatchback rides on 17-inch and 18-inch JCW-spec alloy wheels with Chilli Red centre caps, depending on the variant details. Mini has also offered three selectable DRL signature modes with unique welcome and goodbye lighting animations.

Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition: Interior & Features

Inside, the Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition maintains a sporty theme with a black interior and red highlights. JCW sports seats are finished in Vescin Black upholstery with red stitching. The dashboard and door pads have knitted fabric inserts, and the illuminated door sills and floor mats display 'GP Inspired' and '1 of 30' branding.

In terms of features, the Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition comes loaded with premium equipment. The hatchback gets a 9.4-inch circular OLED touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, panoramic glass roof, Harman Kardon audio system, powered driver seat with memory function, ambient lighting, connected car technology, and a head-up display. Safety features include Level 1 ADAS, rear-view camera, stability control, and multiple airbags.

Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition: Engine & Performance

Powering the Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition is a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 204 hp and 300 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox sending power to the front wheels. Mini claims the Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 6.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 242 kmph.
