Mercedes-Benz is gearing up for a lineup expansion, teasing multiple new models set to launch in 2026 and 2027, with seven world premieres slated for the next three months alone. The German automaker shared these updates during its recent capital markets day, outlining ambitious plans for 16 fresh vehicles this year and another 14 in 2027 for the global market.

This push reflects Mercedes' strategy to refresh its portfolio across Top-End luxury, Core family, and Entry segments, blending electric and internal combustion powertrains to meet diverse global demands.

Leading the charge is the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, expected in March, which will elevate the flagship sedan's opulence for ultra-luxury buyers. Later this year, the AMG GT 4-Door Coupe returns with enhanced performance dynamics, followed by its SUV counterpart in 2027, broadening the high-performance lineup. A G-Class Cabriolet joins the iconic off-roader family in 2027, promising open-air adventures with G-Wagon ruggedness.

Among 2026's highlights, six Top-End vehicles will be fully electric, including a facelifted EQS featuring sleeker updated lighting, an advanced 800-volt architecture for faster charging, and refined powertrains. The remaining Top-End models include internal combustion options, with several positioned as S-Class derivatives or potent AMGs.

In the Core segment for 2026, Mercedes plans five ICE-powered models alongside three EVs, such as the China-specific GLC EQ L, tailored for long-wheelbase preferences in that market. Entry-level offerings get a boost too, with one new ICE model and one EV, potentially a redesigned GLA to complement the CLA and GLB, making premium mobility more accessible.

Looking to 2027, the 14 incoming models focus heavily on the Core family, incorporating three EVs and possible Top-End additions like a refreshed SL roadster. A long-wheelbase GLE for China is also in the works, though without a confirmed date, underscoring Mercedes' targeted approach to regional tastes. The information regarding the launch of these models in the Indian market is scarce.
