Maruti Suzuki India Limited has issued a recall for its Grand Vitara SUVs sold in the Indian market. The recall pertains to a potential defect affecting the model's fuel level indicator and warning system. Based on the automaker's announcement via a regulatory filing, 39,506 units of the SUV have been affected, manufactured between December 9, 2024, and April 29, 2025.

As per the Indian automaker, the fuel level gauge and warning light within the speedometer unit may not accurately reflect the fuel level, potentially deceiving drivers regarding the fuel left in the tank.
