Mahindra is set to introduce its all-electric SUV, the XEV 9S, with the official launch scheduled for tomorrow, 27th November 2025. The company has released multiple teasers showcasing glimpses of its design, cabin, and features. Once launched, the Mahindra XEV 9S will compete directly with rivals such as the Tata Harrier.ev in India's growing electric SUV segment.
Just a day ahead of the launch of its third-born electric SUV, Mahindra has released a new teaser that almost reveals the exterior of the SUV. In the teaser, we see the XEV 9S carrying a bold LED DRL stretching across its entire width, giving it a striking presence. At the centre sits Mahindra's illuminated Twin Peaks infinity logo, adding a distinctive and premium touch to the front fascia. The teaser next highlights the XEV 9S's distinctive alloy wheels, featuring aero disc blades with a gloss-black centre finish. The exact size, whether 18-inch or 19-inch, will be confirmed tomorrow, upon launch.

Previous teasers also show the XEV 9S interior, which features five screens: three up front and two for rear passengers. Another clip reveals a Harman Kardon speaker grille, indicating a 16-speaker premium audio system with Dolby Atmos, similar to the XEV 9E. The SUV also showcases multi-colour ambient lighting and a triple-screen dashboard layout. Notably, the XEV 9S debuts as Mahindra's first seven-seater electric SUV in India, blending advanced tech, immersive audio, and personalised cabin experiences.
The Mahindra XEV 9S is expected to mirror the specifications of the XEV 9e, but with a larger 79 kWh battery pack delivering an estimated 656 km range per charge. In comparison, the XEV 9e comes with a 59 kWh unit that offers 542 km. This upgrade would position the XEV 9S as the more capable long-range option in Mahindra's EV lineup.
