This is not the first time that the Mahindra Origin eSUVs have registered a remarkable milestone. At the beginning of April 2026, Mahindra announced the achievement of selling over 50,000 eSUVs in just a year, including the sales figures of the Mahindra XEV 9S, Mahindra BE6, and the XEV 9e. 

The Mahindra BE 6e and XEV 9e were officially launched and unveiled in India on November 26, 2024. Talking about the details, the Mahindra BE6 gets two powertrain options - the 59kWh model, which works with an electric motor generating 231hp, while the 79kWh models generate 286hp; both have a torque rating of 380Nm and are offered exclusively in rear-wheel drive. The larger battery configuration is claimed by ARAI to provide a range of 682km, while the smaller battery configuration is certified by ARAI to offer a range of 556km.

Mahindra BE6 & XEV 9e

On the other hand, the Mahindra XEV 9e is equipped with a 79 kWh battery pack, which offers an ARAI-certified range of 659 km. The real-world range of the EV is above 500 km. This battery powers an electric motor that produces 286 bhp of power and 380 Nm of peak torque. This power can be used to accelerate the SUV from 0-100 kmph in 6.8 seconds. There is an option of a 59 kWh battery pack, which powers a 231 hp motor. This battery pack can be charged using a 140 kW DC charger.

The latest eSUV in the Mahindra portfolio is the Mahindra XEV 9S. It offers three battery pack options: 59 kWh, 70 kWh, and 79 kWh. The 59 kWh battery is capable of delivering a peak power of 170 kW, the 70 kWh battery delivers 180 kW, and the 79 kWh battery promises 210 kW of peak power.
