KTM RC 160 New Colours

KTM India recently updated the 200 Duke and the 250 Duke with new colour options. Now, the brand has followed it with the launch of new colours for its entry-level supersport, the RC 160. It now gets Electronic Orange Matte and Ceramic White Matte. This is the same shade that has already been used for the RC 390, while the version offers a rather clean look for the machine. All of this comes without any changes in pricing, and it continues to be sold at Rs 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom).

Apart from colours, the rest of the design elements remain the same, with the 160 cc bike remaining identical to its bigger 200 cc sibling. The signature styling of the RC family remains intact with a fully-faired design with side panels and a slightly raised tail section.

The bike is based on a trellis structure and features 37 mm inverted front forks along with a rear monoshock suspension. Stopping power is provided by a 320 mm disc at the front and a 230 mm disc at the rear, both supported by dual-channel ABS.

Regarding its features, the RC 160 is equipped with an LCD display and full LED lights. The riding posture is somewhat forward-leaning due to the clip-on handlebars and rear-set footpegs. It also comes with an assist and slipper clutch, which aids in maintaining rear wheel stability during aggressive downshifting. Additionally, there is a fuel tank with a capacity of 13.75 liters.

The motorcycle is powered by a 164.2cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which is mated to a six-speed transmission. This engine generates 18.7 bhp and 15.5 Nm of torque. This is the same unit that is employed by the brand on the 160 Duke. Both bikes are meant to offer spirited riding to the entry-level buyers looking for a fun machine.
