Hyundai has quietly removed the Tucson SUV from its official Indian website, effectively confirming its discontinuation from the domestic lineup. Despite offering a host of premium features, the fourth-generation Tucson struggled to make a strong impact in the market. Its exit has now sparked speculation that Hyundai may be gearing up to introduce the facelifted version of the premium SUV in India.

The outgoing Hyundai Tucson was available with two 2.0-litre engine choices. The petrol variant generated 154 hp and 192 Nm of torque, coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the diesel version delivered a robust 184 hp and 416 Nm, paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The top-end Signature trim also offered all-wheel drive and terrain modes, enhancing its versatility.
The Hyundai Tucson packed a host of premium features, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, front ventilated seats, dual-zone climate control, and a 360-degree camera. Safety and driver assistance were also top-notch, with Level 2 ADAS offering adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, six airbags, ABS with EBD, hill hold assist, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and more.
As per reports, the current-generation Hyundai Tucson struggled to gain momentum in the Indian market. By September 2025, monthly sales had dipped to just 85 units, a sharp decline compared to 201 units in the same month last year. Over the 12 months from October 2024 to September 2025, the SUV managed only 1,109 units in total. This could be one of the major reasons for the brand to pull the plug on the Hyundai Tucson in India.
