Hero MotoCorp Witnesses 44 Pc YoY Growth With 5.58 Lakh Unit Sales In February 2026

Hero MotoCorp sold 5.58 lakh units in February 2026, up 44% YoY, with strong scooter demand, rising exports and more.

Hero MotoCorp registered overall sales of 558,216 units in February 2026, marking a 44% year-on-year growth compared to 388,068 units sold in February 2025. According to Vahan data, the company recorded 458,346 registrations, reflecting an 18% YoY growth.

A key highlight was the performance of Vida, Hero's electric mobility sub-brand. Vida achieved a three-fold increase in market share compared to last year, with 12,514 registrations on the Vahan portal in February 2026. This growth underscores the rising adoption of electric vehicles across India.

Hero MotoCorp attributed its strong performance to several factors like robust demand in the scooter segment, continued momentum in the 100cc-125cc motorcycle category, steady scale-up of VIDA electric vehicles and double-digit growth in international markets.

Exports also contributed significantly. Hero shipped 41,248 units of motorcycles and scooters in February 2026, compared to 30,772 units in February 2025, reflecting a 34% YoY growth.

On the domestic front, Hero sold 516,968 units in February 2026, up from 357,296 units in the same month last year. Motorcycles accounted for 499,756 units, compared to 352,312 units in February 2025. Scooters also saw healthy growth, with 58,460 units sold in February 2026 against 35,756 units last year. Both segments showed clear expansion, highlighting strong consumer demand.

Vida's performance was particularly noteworthy. With 12,514 registrations, the brand demonstrated its growing presence in the electric mobility space. Hero MotoCorp emphasized that VIDA's trajectory reflects increasing consumer confidence in sustainable transport solutions.

Overall, Hero MotoCorp's February 2026 results highlight a balanced growth across motorcycles, scooters, and electric vehicles, supported by strong domestic demand and expanding exports. The company continues to strengthen its position as a market leader while investing in future-ready mobility solutions.
