Bridgestone India has announced the appointment of Rajarshi Moitra as the new Managing Director, effective from January 1, 2026. Moitra will take over from Hiroshi Yoshizane, who has been at the helm of Bridgestone India since January 2024. Yoshizane will be elevated to Vice President and Senior Officer at Bridgestone Corporation while still serving as Group President of Bridgestone Asia Pacific, India, China (BSAPIC), a role he has occupied since May 2025.
The outgoing Managing Director will also keep his roles as Chairman of the Board of Bridgestone India and Vice Chairman of the Automotive Tyre Manufacturers' Association, which is India's national industry body for the automotive tyre sector.

Moitra has more than 20 years of expertise in business strategy, profit center management, sales and marketing, and organizational transformation. He joined Bridgestone India in 2019 to oversee the Consumer business and has since broadened his duties to encompass the Consumer & Commercial Business, Solution Business, and Logistics & Supply Chain Management. He became Executive Director for Sales & Marketing in June 2024 before being promoted to Deputy Managing Director in May 2025.
