Bollywood Star Sunny Deol Slammed For Driving Land Rover Defender Without Seatbelt

Bollywood actor Sunny Deol is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Border 2. Recently, a video shared by him on Instagram has sparked discussion online. In the clip, Deol is seen behind the wheel of his Land Rover Defender, dressed in an Army officer's uniform, likely while heading to or returning from the film's shoot.  

The actor appears to be enjoying music during the drive, seemingly posting the video as a lighthearted moment. However, viewers quickly noticed a detail he overlooked: Deol was driving on a public road without wearing a seatbelt.  The footage shows him navigating a narrow stretch of road, presumably near the shooting location, but it was evident that he was on a public route. This lapse in following basic road safety rules has drawn criticism, with many pointing out the importance of adhering to traffic regulations regardless of circumstance. 

In the video, Sunny Deol appears to be driving the Land Rover Defender Octa, the most powerful version of the SUV currently available in India. Under the hood, it gets a 4.4-litre mild-hybrid V8 sourced from BMW, it produces an impressive 626 hp and 750 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission that channels power to all four wheels. This performance-oriented Defender comes at a premium, with an ex-showroom price of around Rs 2.8 crore.

Earlier, the actor and politician had posted pictures from his Ladakh trip on social media. Adding to the excitement, he undertook the journey in his newly purchased Land Rover Defender Octa, making the adventure even more memorable. 

Apart from the Land Rover Defender Octa, Sunny Deol also owns cars like the Porsche 911 GT3 Touring, Range Rover Autobiography LWB, and Volkswagen Tiguan.
