The company first entered India in 2019 with the Hector SUV, which is now preparing for a facelift. Scheduled to debut this month, the updated Hector is expected to feature refreshed styling and added equipment. Recently, the SUV was spotted testing on public roads, concealed under a net tarp rather than full camouflage, hinting at its imminent launch.
Fresh spy shots have revealed the upcoming facelifted MG Hector undergoing highway testing, and what stands out immediately is its unconventional disguise. Instead of the typical heavy camouflage wraps used by manufacturers, MG has opted for a quirky green netted tarp, fastened to the SUV's body with plastic ropes. This unusual choice makes the test mule instantly recognizable while still attempting to conceal finer design details, sparking curiosity about the changes beneath.

A new set of alloy wheels is clearly visible, retaining the familiar five-spoke layout but adopting a completely fresh design compared to the outgoing model. Subtle tweaks to the tailgate are also expected, though the overall side profile remains largely unchanged, with most of the sheet metal carried over from the current Hector.
