Maruti Suzuki is preparing the updated version of the Brezza for launch in the Indian market. Currently in its second-generation, the SUV in this avatar was launched back in 2022 and is now expected to get some major changes. All of these revisions are expected to improve the appeal of the car for its consumers and have been seen in the spy shots of the test mules spotted earlier. Based on the available information, here are the details.

Design Upgrades

The Brezza's outline stays true to its roots, but the front and rear are likely to get a makeover. Expect a new bumper, bolder grille up front, and matching tweaks at the back, though no fancy connected tail lamps this time around.

Larger Touchscreen

Inside, the layout holds steady, but there will likely be small refinements like a revamped centre console and fresh upholstery. Spy shots hint at a bigger touchscreen for infotainment, paired with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other additions could include connected car tech, wireless charging, a heads-up display, cruise control, auto AC, ambient lights, and a single-pane sunroof.

Ventilated Seats

Among the feature upgrades, the SUV is expected to get ventilated front seats to improve occupants' comfort. This is one of the features offered on most of the rivals of the model, including the Mahindra XUV3XO, Hyundai Venue, and others.

Possible Powertrain Tweaks

No big powertrain shake-up here; the trusty 1.5-litre petrol carries on with its 5-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter auto options. But recent tests show a 6-speed manual transmission can be added to the mix. There's talk of borrowing the 1.0-litre turbo from the Fronx, though nothing's confirmed yet.

Underbody CNG Tank

Among the biggest changes is the inclusion of an underbody tank inspired by the Victoris. The change in placement of the tank from the boot to under the body will help the SUV offer better boot space even in CNG variants.
